“Working the View” is a joint project by Mark Butler (photographer) and Sarah Butler (writer) to produce an exhibition and book of landscape photographs of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with accompanying texts exploring the relationship between the landscape and its guardians.

We are seeking participants from the organisations who work to protect the area, as well as farmers and landowners who work and care for the land. Each participant will be asked to select several of their favourite views, which will then be photographed by Mark. Sarah will interview each participant to explore the reasons why they love this view and the work they do to protect the landscape for others.
